LG KP500 Cookie - Support for Audio and Video Files - Media Player Support

Lg Cookie Kp500 model is a good mobile phone specially if compared to some other models. Lg has been always known to produce high quality models and yes this is one of them. LG Kp500 Cookie is one of these. 

Lg Cookie is a fully touchscreen mobile phone. It's touchscreen is quite good. It gives a good response with the guard on. Music player installed is the best one. The stereo headset is really good and gives a true feeling sound. Video playing is also cool as it has a large screen and you can really enjoy the video. 


It can play only two type of video files as far as i know and that is 3G and MP4. Fact is that most of the mobiles now a days support these formats. Here is another thing the LG KP500 Cookie does not play normal MP4 files. The video should be converted to the LG supported MP4 or it will give unsupported file and that's where it sucks. 

The another thing is that it does not provide any support for media player unlike in Nokia models, Where you can install real media player. You have to always change MP4 files into LG compatible MP4 file. Secondly it also fails in capturing the video in MP4 formats. It always captures in 3G format. Tell me what's the use if a camera with a 3.2 megapixel takes a video in 3G format. Absolutely Useless. Thirdly, it does not play the most popular AVI files.

Talking about the Audio files support. In this I think it can play two types of files that is MP3 and AMR. Amr is a format in which a 5 MB song decreases to 500KB. But the quality of the song reduces. However Music player is very nice. It also has a equalizer support. 

Convert MP4 Files to LG compatible MP4 files

With Normal software you can convert the file. You need special software or you will not be able to play mp4 files in your LG cookie. So get the software listed below.
