How to Sign Out from WhatsApp

Whatsapp has no facility to sign out once you install it either in your phone or in your PC. However you can do a much better thing. Whatsapp offers to change your number at any instant without deleting the app or the database. You can change your mobile number of whatsapp from current number in few seconds. Once you whatsapp verifies that it's your number then you can start messaging people with your new number.

Secondly, if you are getting a lot of messages on your number then also you can change your mobile number of whatsapp. This will help you in not getting those boring and nonsense messages from ridiculous people who have your previous number.

Here is a step by step instruction to change your mobile number of whatsapp :


  1. Open whatapp.
  2. Go to settings.
  3. Click on Accounts.
  4. Now click on Change number. 
  5. Now enter you previous mobile number with the country code.
  6. If you are from India put 91 as your country code and then your number in the next column.
  7. Similarly put your new number in the next column.
  8. Once you do this click next and whatsapp will automatically try to detect a sms sent by whatsapp only. If you receive the SMS on your mobile and whatsapp is unable to detect it then simply put in the code which you received in sms on to the next screen. In case you didn't receive sms wait for green bar to finish and click on CALL me feature. It's immediate and tells the code only.
  9. Enter the code and click on done or next.
  10. That's it. 
You mobile number of whatsapp has been changed and now you can start messaging from your new number. Whatsapp for PC on Bluestacks has a similar process so you don't have to worry. Just follow the instructions.
