Flash Drive Folders Turned into Shortcuts - Problem SOLVED

We always store a lot of data on our flash drive. Specially our mobile's memory card contains all types of data that we have including vast amount of data for phone as well. All videos and photos are present in folders in our memory card. However the situation becomes ugly when folders turn into shortcuts. The shortcut folders can be opened in personal computer but they can't be opened in mobiles.

Whatever trick you apply in your mobile, those shortcut folders never open. We all get tensed on such situation because of fear of losing all our data. Certainly we don't want to format our memory card.

If you have such problem right now and you are currently searching for as how to fix it then follow the simple steps below :

  1. Connect your memory card or pen drive to your laptop or personal PC.
  2. Press Windows Key + R from keyboard and type CMD and hit enter.
  3. Suppose your pen drive or memory card drive letter is D.
  4. Now type D: and hit Ok.
  5. Now you can see the path in the command windows starting as D:\ .
  6. Now type attrib -h -r -s /s /d D:\*.*  and hit enter.
  7. Once you hit enter, open the memory card and you will see all the folders restored. 
  8. Delete all the shortcut folders.
  9. Remove the removable disk properly.
By using this simple trick you can easily remove all the shortcut folder without losing any information. You don't need to format your flash drive.
