Booking a ticket in India is now a days very easy. You simply login to the IRCTC website and can get a ticket in less than 5 minutes. However it's not that easy at TATKAL timings around 10 a.m. If you have a real fast internet connection then only there are chances that you will get tatkal ticket. If you never used IRCTC website, then you can simply book your ticket by reservation counter at the railway station. You can get both confirmed and waiting tickets from the counter. However waiting ticket from the IRCTC website is not allowed as it cancels itself automatically if not confirmed at the time of chart preparation.
